1. Information We Collect

A. Location Information (Critical)

To provide the core functionality of the App—specifically, the "Check In," "Check Out," and "Lunch" attendance features—the App requires access to your device's location services.

• When it is collected: Location data (GPS coordinates) is only collected at the exact moment you tap an attendance button (Check In / Check Out / Lunch). We do not track your location continuously in the background.
• Why it is collected: This data is used solely to verify that you are at the authorized workplace or remote location designated by your employer at the time of your clock-in/out.
• How it is shared: This location data is securely transmitted directly to your employer's designated server domain.

B. Device Information

We collect specific device information, such as your unique Device ID.

• Why it is collected: To ensure secure access, prevent fraudulent attendance logging, and verify that the attendance request is coming from your registered device.

C. Personal & Employment Data

When you log in, the App accesses personal data stored on your employer's server, including:

• Your Name and Email Address.
• Your Leave Balances, Leave Requests, and Attendance History.

This data is synchronized between your device and your employer's backend system to provide you with HR self-service capabilities.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To Provide Service: To successfully log your daily attendance and process your leave requests.
• To Ensure Security: To authenticate your identity and device, preventing unauthorized access to your company's HR portal.
• To Communicate: To display relevant HR data (like approval statuses and leave balances) on your dashboard.

3. Data Retention and Security

Data Storage

JobAlign HR acts as a client application. The data collected by the App (including your location and attendance logs) is transmitted directly to and stored on the server domain configured by your employer during the "Domain Setup" phase. We do not store your data on proprietary third-party servers outside of your employer's infrastructure.

Security

The security of your data is important to us. The App uses standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/SSL) to transmit your credentials and location data securely to your employer's server. However, remember that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Access

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information or location data to external third parties. Your data is strictly communicated between the JobAlign HR mobile application and your employer's designated backend API.

5. Your Choices and Permissions

You have complete control over the permissions granted to the App:

• Location Services: You can enable or disable location access for the App through your device's settings. However, please note that disabling location services will prevent you from successfully checking in or out using the App.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
